Gaosi Technology has created a more efficient SDR tool chain for users who are researching wireless communications and detection perception, providing a full-spectrum and full-link one-stop solution from simulation to verification to prototyping, from Sub6G to millimeter wave to terahertz.

Platform Highlights

GSR : Matlab seamless access, algorithm verification can be realized without any programming
GTM: NR frame structure, support for MIMO and beamforming, support for millimeter wave expansion

In the R&D process of the prototype of the traditional wireless communication system, the prototype system is built directly after the algorithm simulation, which requires a lot of algorithm transplantation and FPGA development work. If it is found that the algorithm needs to be adjusted during the prototype stage, the algorithm needs to be transplanted again, and the FPGA part also needs to be reworked.

Compared with the traditional process, we added an SDR physical verification link between simulation and prototype. The SDR verification system based on the GSR platform can realize the physical verification of Matlab algorithms and import Matlab algorithms without any programming. Without adding any workload, the Matlab algorithm can be verified in a real channel environment, and the SDR physical object and algorithm can be quickly cross-verified. The GSR platform is built based on NI LabVIEW, and data is transmitted between the GSR platform and the USRP through a reliable PCIe + DMA method, ensuring data integrity and continuity.

Seamless connection between Matlab and real signals

After completing the algorithm verification, the GTM platform implements a real-time prototype system and deploys the verified algorithm to the prototype system for real-time verification. The GTM platform shares the hardware architecture with the GSR platform. The USRP under the GSR platform can be used to build the GTM platform, further protecting the user's equipment investment. GTM is built on Intel icc and high-performance FPGA, and is connected to USRP through a deeply customized UHD-G driver and Aurora, solving the data packet loss problem of the standard UHD driver.

GTM NR physical layer real-time prototype system

GSR and GTM have good scalability, support multiple models of USRP, and support MIMO, RIS, and millimeter wave expansion. Gaosi Technology also provides customized development services for RF front-end, smart metasurface, and array antenna.
