Job Title: Principle Applications Engineer

Job Description:

1. Come join our ICW division at Cypress where we are building solutions to enable new applications for the embedded products of tomorrow that is smart, energy efficient and with connectivity to cloud. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion and strives to exceed the exceptions.
   

2. As a Motor control Application Engineer, you will help key customers design and build the systems for home appliance devices such as air conditioner, washing machine, refrigerator and other cool devices driven by motor.
   

3. You will also work closely with engineering and sales and marketing to help grow our home appliance business.

   
   

1. Ability to work with a variety of internal teams in Hardware and Software Engineering, Systems, Field Applications Engineering, Sales, Marketing and external customers.

2. Knowledge on major motor control algorithms, sensorless FOC, position observer, field weaken, etc.

3. Knowledge on power electronics and PFC usage on motor control application.

4. Deep dive experience with system level solution design and support for home appliance motor application.

5. Demonstrate ability to design turnkey solution and understand all aspects of product life cycle are a plus.
   

6. Strong team-player and practical hands-on problem solver.
   

7. Ability to multitask in a high energy environment.
   

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enthusiasm for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner.
