"Unveiling the secrets" of China Electric Port's new energy vehicle solutions based on NXP | Firefly Academy
In this issue of Firefly Academy, we invite Zhu Qiang, AE of the Automotive Electronics Division of China Electric Port, to share with you the applications of China Electric Port in the field of new energy vehicles based on NXP products. The discussion will focus on the following four aspects: first, BMS, including 48V start-stop power supply and power battery management system used in passenger cars and buses; second, domain controller solution based on SPC5748; third, screen display solution used with domain controller, based on NXP's I.MXRT series chips; and finally, the capabilities we have and the support and services we can provide to customers.
Start-Stop Power Solution
It is mainly designed based on NXP's MC33771+MC33664 and automotive-grade MCU, equipped with isolated CAN transceiver TJA1052 and high-side switch MC22XS4200, to achieve lithium battery pack voltage, current, temperature, internal resistance, SOC measurement, and can monitor 35 faults such as disconnection, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, etc., can achieve intelligent balancing, and support 45 system self-tests.
The following is an integrated power BMS system, which connects 4 MC33771 in a daisy chain manner, and collects voltage, temperature, balance and current detection through 4 33771. It communicates with the MCU through an isolated transceiver. Among the MCUs, we have 9S12, S32K, and MPC57xx to choose from. The system still has CAN communication, charge and discharge drive and insulation monitoring modules.

Domain controller
This system can detect various sensor data of the vehicle, and realize various complex controls by analyzing and calculating the sensor data, such as controlling the lights, windows, wipers, etc. The system has 9 motor drives and 32 relay drives. It can communicate with the BMS system through CAN communication, and transmit the vehicle and battery status to the display screen in real time. Through the display screen, you can understand the various battery parameters and understand the vehicle status more intuitively, which is convenient for vehicle maintenance and repair. You can also control the vehicle compartment lifting, ignition and other operations through the touch screen or remote control. The system itself has multiple self-test fault diagnosis functions, which is safer and has a higher cost-effectiveness than the traditional main control system.
i.MX RT Crossover Processors
Next is the screen instrument product used with the domain controller. This system uses NXP's dedicated processor I.MX RT and is equipped with a 4G & GPS positioning module to realize instrument display, camera, touch control, 4G communication, GPS positioning, remote control, Bluetooth, voice playback and other functions. It communicates externally through the CAN bus, which is not only suitable for automotive instruments, but also for industrial human-machine interfaces, household appliances, smart homes and other applications.
