China Electric Port enables the intelligentization of the automotive industry

At the opening of the China session of this NXP Connects Summit, Dr. Li Tingwei, Chairman of NXP Semiconductors Greater China, gave a special speech on "Building China's Ecosystem and Winning the Smart Era". Dr. Li Tingwei pointed out that under the wave of intelligence, cars are accelerating the transformation from traditional transportation tools to smart mobile spaces, and smart cars have become the strategic direction of the development of the global automotive industry. There is no doubt that the future car, as the largest smart edge device, is full of imagination. Many cutting-edge technologies will be first applied in cars, and the automotive industry will also drive the accelerated development of various technical fields.


China Electronics Port launched online courses at NXP Connects Technology Summit


In line with the intelligent trend of the automotive industry, CEC Port has designed a series of new energy vehicle solutions . At the NXP Connects Summit , Zhu Qiang, a senior hardware engineer at CEC Port, opened an online course to patiently explain the details of CEC Port's new energy vehicle solutions to the audience and interact with them on the spot.


Zhu Qiang first explained the 12V/48V start-stop power supply solution of China Electric Port , which is designed based on (lithium battery management chip AFE) MC33772/ MC33771 + (high-speed transformer isolation drive) MC33664 + (automotive-grade MCU) + CAN communication (TJA1051/2). It has the following features:

1. Realize lithium battery pack voltage, current, temperature, internal resistance, and SOC measurement

2. Can monitor 35 faults including disconnection, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, etc.

3. Intelligent balancing

4. Automotive lithium battery management system (BMS) that supports 45 system self-tests and other multi-functions

China Electric Port helps you build a good car


In the next course, Zhu Qiang brought the solution of China Electric Port's automotive-grade power BMS solution . The BMS solution designed by China Electric Port based on MC33771 has the following features:

1. The main chip has passed AECQ100 and TS16949 certification

2.RTC real-time clock monitoring and management, can trace historical events

3. Daisy chain cascading, flexible expansion, support loop design, low cost

4.GPS positioning, GPRS/4G wireless interconnection technology

5. The solution has hardware redundancy design and supports ISO26262 functional safety


The BMS solution designed by China Electric Port based on S32K3+MC33775 has the following features:

1. High safety level, the system has a multi-level software and hardware fault protection mechanism, and the core components meet the ASIL-D level certification, meeting industry needs

2. High reliability, the system integrates 35 fault detection and 45 system self-checks, timely discovers and reports system faults, and takes corresponding countermeasures

3. High flexibility, daisy chain cascade mode, support expansion, support loop design, can be flexibly configured according to different battery strings

4. Leading technology, based on Autosar software architecture, core SOC, SOH algorithms, unique software filtering, timing correction and other algorithms, while supporting GPS positioning and 4G wireless interconnection



In the middle of the course, Zhu Qiang explained the China Electric Port domain controller solution to the audience . The domain controller can detect various sensor data of the vehicle, realize various complex controls through sensor data analysis and calculation, and transmit the vehicle and battery status to the display screen in real time, so as to understand the vehicle status more intuitively and facilitate vehicle maintenance and repair. The China Electric Port domain controller solution has the following features:

1. High integration, using MCU+MOS (20A)+high-side switch (3A)

2. High safety and reliability, capable of current monitoring, short circuit protection and fault diagnosis

3. High cost performance, low material cost and maintenance cost

Zhu Qiang also explained the China Electric Port screen instrument solution. This solution uses NXP's cross-border processor I.MX RT, with 4G & GPS positioning module, to achieve instrument display, camera, touch control, 4G communication, GPS positioning, remote control, Bluetooth, voice playback and other functions, and communicates externally through the CAN bus. It is suitable for automotive instruments, industrial human-machine interfaces, household appliances, smart homes and other applications. This solution has the following features:

1. Connect with the vehicle controller (VCU)/domain controller system to display battery and vehicle information and fault information, which is convenient for maintenance management and repair

2. Equipped with 4G communication and GPS positioning functions, real-time positioning of the vehicle and remote reception of battery and vehicle operation information

3. With remote control function, the vehicle can be remotely controlled through LORA communication

4. With Bluetooth communication function, you can connect to the mobile phone APP via Bluetooth to operate and obtain vehicle information

5. It has dual-channel camera detection function. It has voice broadcast function, which can give voice reminders when the vehicle is reversing or turning.
