RadioVerse™ Ecosystem Expands with the Highest Bandwidth RF Transceiver
Analog Devices expands its award-winning RadioVerse™ technology and design ecosystem with the introduction of
the industry’s widest bandwidth RF transceiver
, the ADRV9009. The transceiver provides designers with a single radio platform to accelerate 5G deployment, support 2G/3G/4G coverage, and simplify phased array radar design.
The ADRV9009 RF transceiver offers twice the bandwidth (200 MHz) of previous generation devices, can replace up to 20 devices, reduces power consumption by half, and reduces package size by 60%. With industry-leading performance and reduced size, weight, and power consumption, the ADRV9009 transceiver can meet the stringent antenna density and expanded network capacity requirements of emerging 5G wireless infrastructure equipment and aerospace systems.
Industry’s widest bandwidth RF transceiver accelerates development of 2G-5G base stations and phased array radars
ADRV9009 is the industry's first RF transceiver that supports all existing cellular standards. The device can be tuned from 75 MHz to 6 GHz to support 2G/3G/4G/5G services, so cellular equipment manufacturers can use a single compact radio design to meet all frequency bands and power requirements. Product design time can be reduced by up to half, and the deployment and maintenance of multi-band, multi-standard communication equipment can be simplified.
For the first time, designers of cellular communications equipment have a common radio platform to address emerging broadband applications such as 5G, while also delivering the high performance required for existing 2G, 3G and 4G applications.

The wide bandwidth, low power consumption and small size of the ADRV9009 enable designers to meet the increasing number of radio channels required for 5G massive MIMO devices. The new RF transceiver is a single-chip TDD solution that can also be used to design portable, lab-grade 5G test and measurement equipment required for field testing of cellular and IoT networks.
For aerospace systems, the ADRV9009 can meet the high performance requirements of both wideband and narrowband applications. This new RF transceiver platform also features fast frequency hopping to improve link security and spectrum efficiency.
For advanced cellular and phased array radar systems, the ADRV9009 simplifies digital beamforming design by handling local oscillator (LO) synchronization on-chip, eliminating the need for an external LO.
