The supercapacitor-battery power structure selection system analyzes the shortcomings of batteries used in hybrid vehicles and the advantages of using supercapacitors, studies three different ways of forming a composite power source composed of supercapacitors and batteries, and points out that the high-power-density supercapacitor and the high-energy-density battery are matched through a power DC/DC converter. This allows them to output/absorb the impact of high-rate current and meet the high energy density required for multiple high-rate currents. The experimental and simulation results show that the parallel structure of the bidirectional DC/DC converter has good effect and practicality.
