The discrete wavelet transform method (Mallat algorithm) is used to realize dual-channel sub-band compression coding of speech signals. The low-frequency signal of C125Hz in the speech signal is completely retained, and the speech signal in the 125Hz to KHz frequency band is quantized and filtered step by step with more accuracy by wavelet decomposition, while the high-frequency part is run-length encoded, thereby achieving a significant compression of the transmission data volume of the speech signal while ensuring the original characteristics of the speech signal.
