# GD32L233C-START Review——01. Unboxing, Development Kit## Introduction- First of all, I would like to thank EEWORLD (Electronic Engineering World) and GigaDevice for organizing this event. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to review this product; - Then I would like to thank the official administrator lightxixi (WeChat name: Dudu), who took the initiative to contact me outside of working hours and assisted me in solving the problem of my account and username; - Finally, I wish EEWORLD (Electronic Engineering World)'s activities will get better and better, and its popularity will increase. ## 1. Unboxing### 1.1 Unboxing pictures ### 1.2 GD32L233C-START Review - **Advantages** 1. Onboard GD-Link for easy debugging; 2. All pins of the main MCU are brought out for easy function verification; 3. Add external 8M and 32.768K crystal oscillators to facilitate the verification of functions related to clock peripherals; 4. The two-wire SWD debugging port is brought out to facilitate JLink debugging and simulation; 5. Add multiple LEDs for convenient status indication; -** Insufficient (personal opinion)** 1. The debugger MCU and the main control MCU are powered by the same 3.3V. If you want to verify the low power consumption of the main control MCU, you need to remove the debugging components or extend the black line of the GDLink part on the board to cut off this part (be careful!) (Official warning!) Improvement suggestion: The main control MCU is powered by a separate 3.3V to facilitate verification of the low power function. 2. Based on the previous item, the most common minimum system boards on the market basically have onboard debuggers, and the debugger area and the main control area have more physical slots to facilitate the removal of the debugger. You can refer to this design. 3. The onboard USB mother sockets are all Mini-USB interfaces, which are rare nowadays. Improvement suggestion: Replace this interface with Micro-USB or Type-C port for the convenience of developers. 4. Based on the previous one (since this interface is used, a cable should be provided!) ### 1.3 Introduction to GD32L233CCT6### 1.3.1 Basic peripherals ### 1.3.2 Showing off the muscle> You can see the basic information from the manual, so I will not copy it all over, but only list some parameters that I think are key. High main frequency: ```c 64MHz ``` Large storage: ```c SRAM:32Kb Flash:256Kb //You can run the system smoothly! ! ! ``` Wide voltage: ```C 1.71V~3.63V ``` **Low power consumption**: ```c The lowest standby current is only 0.4uA; The deep sleep current is reduced to 2uA; The power consumption in the highest main frequency full-speed working mode is only 66uA/MHz. ``` Multi-mode: ```c The power management unit provides ten power saving modes, including run mode, run mode 1, run mode 2, sleep mode, sleep mode 1, sleep mode 2, deep sleep mode, deep sleep mode 1, deep sleep mode 2 and standby mode. ``` > I have never used a low-power MCU, but I am drooling when I see these parameters. ## 2. Haha, maybe it's my own fault. (I'm not used to the Markdown here)

Problems: eg: insert 5 pictures after the 5th row, slide the scroll wheel, the edit box may have reached the 10th row, the preview box is still showing the pictures, and the content of the 10th row cannot be shown. That is, the two sides are not aligned.
