The third generation mobile communication system refers to a new generation of mobile communication system that can meet the IMT22000/FPLMTS system requirements proposed by the ITU. The ITU proposed the evaluation standard of IMT22000/FPLMTS in 1995, and put forward more detailed requirements for future cellular mobile communication systems. The basic characteristics of the IMT22000 system are as follows: · High compatibility designed for global scope; · The services in IMT22000 are compatible with the services of fixed networks; · High quality; · The mobile phone is very small and has global roaming capabilities; · The spectrum used is 1885 MHz ~ 2025 MHz, 2110 MHz ~ 2200 MHz (230MHz in total) 1980 MHz ~ 2010 MHz, 2170 MHz ~ 2200 MHz (Limited to satellite use)·Mobile terminals can connect to terrestrial networks and satellite networks, and can be used either mobile or fixed;·The types of wireless interfaces should be as few as possible and highly compatible. It can be seen that the future third-generation mobile communication system must have good network compatibility, and user terminals can roam between several different systems around the world. It must not only provide voice and low-speed data services to mobile users, but also provide a wide range of multimedia services, which puts forward higher requirements on the wireless interface. ITU has put forward specific requirements for the test environment of IMT22000 and given the minimum parameters to characterize the IMT22000 system, including: supported data rate range, bit error rate requirements, one-way delay requirements, activation factors and traffic models.
