Research and Implementation of a Digital Video Adaptive Noise Reduction Algorithm Yang Weiwei Chen Shengtan (Xi\'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, Shaanxi 710071) [Abstract] Video sequences are often contaminated by noise during transmission, resulting in poor picture quality. Therefore, digital video noise reduction methods are needed to reduce the impact of noise on images and improve image quality. This paper briefly introduces the principle of digital video noise reduction, proposes an improved adaptive digital noise reduction implementation algorithm based on the existing adaptive noise reduction method, and introduces its hardware implementation process. Compared with the existing noise reduction methods, the method proposed in this paper can effectively eliminate the problems of drag and other problems caused by traditional methods. Noise is one of the main factors affecting the detection and display of target signals. Signals may be mixed with a lot of interference in various ways such as recording, editing, distribution, transmission and satellite reception, resulting in image blur and quality degradation. How to effectively remove the adverse effects in video sequences has always been the main problem in improving image quality.
