Automotive RFCMOS 77GHz Radar Module Design [Copy link]

This design is a solution for 76GHz to 81GHz radar sensor modules. The onboard power supply converts the car battery input to the power rails required for the radar AFE, processor, and CAN-FD transceiver. All of these functions are included in a small PCB suitable for front or corner radar systems in the vehicle.

  • Size-optimized RF front end with 2 77GHz transmitters and 4 77GHz receivers with single-chip integrated AFE and chirp generation
  • High efficiency power solution enables lower heat dissipation, thus reducing overall module temperature
  • Powered directly from battery, including load dump and automotive transient protection
  • Output data via CAN-FD for communication with ECU
