Cost-effective ADC evaluation board, EVAL-AD7606C-18 [Copy link]

This post was last edited by littleshrimp on 2020-12-29 08:20

EVAL-AD7606C-18 is a very cost-effective ADC evaluation board, priced at US$65 on the official website.

AD7606C-18 is an 18 -bit 8- channel 1M SPS synchronous sampling ADC launched by ADI . AD7606 is the previous version 16-bit 800KSPS, and there is also an AD7608 18-bit 200KSPS. TI has a pin2pin chip with it, ADS8598H. Other parameters are the same, but the sampling rate reaches 500K.

This time ADI has launched the AD7606C-18 and the corresponding evaluation board EVAL-AD7606C-18.

The internal ADC buffer has an input impedance of 1MΩ and the following voltage input ranges can be set through the internal PGA.

The board looks very nice. In addition to using 8 SMB interfaces, the analog input also provides 3.81mm terminal blocks.

There is an interface for connecting to the ADI sampling board at the bottom of the digital output, and there are also 2 double-row 2.54 interfaces, which can be easily connected to the microcontroller or FPGA.

This is the peripheral schematic diagram of 7689. In actual use, I use the internal 4.096V reference voltage.   Details Published on 2020-12-30 22:32

The acquisition rate is indeed much faster.

I used an ADI AD7608 before. After it was powered on for a while and started to read data, the data always had a process of gradually approaching the real value from 65535. I don't know where the problem lies?

A normal ADC will not have this problem. It depends on your circuit.  Details Published on 2020-12-30 14:01
