Automobile inspection has become an important technical means for the management departments of the transportation industry, as well as an important scientific means for vehicle safety performance inspection by the public security vehicle management departments, factory inspection and automobile fault diagnosis in the automobile maintenance industry. However, how to ensure the high stability of the entire inspection system and minimize the losses caused by equipment failures. So far, there is no truly satisfactory fault diagnosis solution to solve the above problems. This paper first introduces the overall overview of the automobile inspection line, then explains the principles of the main fault equipment, and analyzes the faults, lists the fault tree, and thus establishes the fault point, providing the necessary basis for fault diagnosis. Then, this paper uses production rules to establish a fault diagnosis expert system, and completes the fault diagnosis process through forward reasoning; and uses Visual C++ as a tool to develop a friendly human-computer interface to facilitate the dialogue between the diagnosis system and the user.
