This article describes the multifunctional measurement and control system composed of the new single-chip microcomputer 89C2051 and its block diagram, describes the keyboard scanning, display, small signal measurement, analog-to-digital conversion, output control circuit, alarm circuit and software and hardware structure composed of the 89C2051 single-chip microcomputer, and briefly introduces the performance of the main components. In industrial measurement and control systems, measurement and control systems composed of microcontrollers and their host circuits plus related peripherals have become popular. The basic components and structures of these measurement and control systems are almost the same. Therefore, I designed a universal host circuit, which has basic functions such as keyboard, display and alarm, and can also be connected to many commonly used sensors and drive high-power equipment to give full play to the potential of the microcontroller. At the same time, from the perspective of economy and practicality, in the design process, smaller serial interface chips are generally selected to simplify the circuit. Through experimental results and comparison with similar products, my design is a low-cost, small-volume, high-precision measurement and control system. Here are only a few examples of the host circuit connected to thermocouples, thermal resistors, 4~20mA current signals output by transmitters, and combustible gas sensors.
