The CORDIC algorithm converts complex arithmetic operations into simple addition and shift operations, and then approximates the results successively. This method takes into account the accuracy, speed and hardware complexity. Its combination with VLSI technology is of great significance to the hardware implementation of DSP algorithms, and has been widely used in the field of digital signal processing. This paper first briefly introduces the principle of the CORDIC algorithm, and then describes in detail the preprocessing and postprocessing of the dual-mode (rotation/vector) CORDIC algorithm, and implements the pipelined dual-mode CORDIC algorithm based on FPGA.
