This paper focuses on the medium voltage inverter test device of 6kV/400kW three-phase asynchronous motor. Starting from the analysis of the main circuit topology commonly used in the current medium voltage inverter, this paper elaborates and analyzes the unit series medium voltage inverter control system studied in this paper. This paper first analyzes the pulse width control principle of multi-unit series medium voltage inverter theoretically. Then, a high-performance V/f control scheme is introduced into the medium voltage inverter control system. By vector compensation of stator voltage drop, slip compensation and motor current limit control, a V/f control scheme with good low-frequency performance and anti-tripping functions is realized. At the same time, this paper applies the concepts of time slot and connection paper of Siemens\' general inverter to the field of medium voltage inverter control. The variability, freedom and convenience of the system are increased. A modular software with system configuration function is designed, in which several important functions in the control software are analyzed and discussed. These important functional modules are: control word and status word, sequential control, V/f curve, given integrator, output automatic voltage regulation algorithm based on voltage compensation, communication function, etc. The medium voltage inverter is designed as a 6kV/22kW test system in the laboratory, and is actually designed as a 6kV/400kW frequency conversion system device. This paper gives the laboratory commissioning results and analysis. The experimental results show that the medium voltage inverter can operate safely and stably.
