Dry ash removal has gradually become the mainstream of ash removal in power plants. Based on the detailed description of the working principle of the dry ash removal system and the working principle of the programmable logic controller PLC, the article designs a PLC control system. In the system, the PLC can take corresponding treatment measures according to the ash position signal (high, normal, low) transmitted by the material level meter and the pressure value signal indicated by the electric contact pressure gauge above the silo pump. The dry ash removal system using PLC has strong anti-interference ability, convenient operation, and greatly improves the comprehensive utilization rate of fly ash, producing good social and environmental benefits. At present, my country mainly relies on thermal coal-fired power generation. The flue gas mixture discharged during the power generation process is finally left in the form of ash powder after the electrostatic precipitator link. The ash removal system is divided into three types: mechanical ash removal (only used for chain furnaces in a few small power plants), pneumatic ash removal (also known as dry ash removal) and hydraulic ash removal. Dry ash removal is conducive to the reuse of fly ash and saving industrial water, and has gradually become the mainstream of ash removal. The use of PLC application solutions in the dry ash removal system of power plants can greatly reduce the workload of personnel, enhance the system\'s anti-interference ability, improve the accuracy of system operation, and significantly increase the comprehensive utilization rate of fly ash, while also generating good social and economic benefits. In this article, the author will explain the practical application of the PLC solution in the automatic control system of dry ash removal in power plants.
