Level indication circuit In order to ensure that the recording level is appropriate, the recorder
is equipped with a level meter to monitor the recording level. The figure shows
the level meter circuits of two general-purpose machines. The circuit is connected to the output of the recording amplifier
. The output signal is rectified to obtain a DC voltage, which deflects the
DC ammeter . Indicates the power supply voltage during playback. In some recorders
, in order to reduce the impact of the nonlinearity of the rectifier circuit on the recording output stage,
an emitter output isolation is added before rectification.
