The circuit of the electric fan decorative light is shown in Figure 2-130. The circuit consists of a step-down rectifier circuit, a dot matrix sound and light control special integrated
circuit, and other parts.
The core device of the circuit is LC189. This decorative light uses different voltage amplitudes on the electric fan speed control inductor to force
the light-emitting diodes controlled by LC189 to flash at different frequencies. The higher the voltage, the faster the flash frequency, and vice versa. Resistors Rl~R3 are connected to
the three-speed speed control switch of the fan, and are coupled to pin 8 of LCI89 via capacitor C1. R4 and C2 are external
oscillating resistor-capacitor components of the integrated block. The output waveform frequency of the circuit changes due to the amplitude of the input signal. The row output terminals A~D and the column output terminals f~
are connected to form a 4x4 dot matrix . The light-emitting diodes LED1~16 are connected between the row lines and the column lines, and the light-emitting tubes are pressed. As shown in Figure 2-127,
the level changes and flashes, which can form wonderful and endless visual effects. Resistors R6~R9 are the current-limiting resistors of the light-emitting tube, which
depend on the power supply voltage used. This machine uses 6V DC power supply, and the resistor should be 120 Ω. If the power supply voltage is 12V,
the current-limiting resistor should be increased to 390 Ω.
