Application circuit of CAT3606

CAT3606 is a high-efficiency white LED driver. This adjustable charge pump is suitable for general large-panel flicker-free backlighting and dual white LED display systems. CAT3606 can replace the inductor boost circuit required by traditional high-brightness backlights, thereby simplifying system design. It has a large output current and can also be used to drive the main and secondary mobile phone displays or the main display plus a low-power camera flash. By independently controlling each group of white LEDs, the CAT3606 can dim or enter standby mode for 4 main white LED displays and 2 secondary white LED displays
. 　　The device has a complete system shutdown function that consumes less than 1uA. The flexible digital interface is suitable for different brightness control circuits. The low noise and 1MHz fixed frequency allow the use of small external capacitors in the design to reduce costs and simplify circuit board design. .
　　CAT3606 works with a lithium-ion battery system to achieve high efficiency of 90%, and the current of each output channel is adjustable to accurately match up to 6 white LEDs to ensure consistent brightness of the panel. Its unique fractional charge pump technology ensures white LED flashing throughout the life of the battery by automatically switching from 1x voltage mode to 1.5x voltage mode .
