It is currently the most commonly used circuit
configuration, as shown in Figure 8-3. It is composed of two common-emitter circuit couplings with the same characteristics . The coupling form can be resistance-capacitance coupling or direct coupling. Since the input resistance of this circuit is much smaller than the output resistance, the voltage gain of the preamplifier will be reduced by the input resistance
of the subsequent amplifier . Even so, the overall gain obtained with this configuration of circuit is still the maximum. The total gain of a     multi-stage amplifier is the product of the gains of each stage (if expressed in decibels, it is the sum of decibels).
