The circuit is shown in Figure 3-35. The advantage of this starting method is that the motor provides uninterrupted power supply during the switching process from reduced voltage starting to full voltage operation
, thereby avoiding damage to the motor insulation layer caused by induced voltage caused by sudden changes in current during the switching process
. In addition, this method can greatly reduce the resistance of the series resistor (generally by about 80%), so
the energy consumption on the starting resistor during startup will also be reduced by about 80%.
