Automatic Fingerprint Recognition System Based on DSP [Copy link]

Abstract: This article introduces a method of constructing a fingerprint recognition system based on TI 's TMS320VC5402 . It discusses in detail the various components of the system and the implementation process of the fingerprint recognition algorithm. In combination with the instruction set and structural characteristics of VC5402 , it discusses how to efficiently design an application program. The article explains in detail how to transform the DSP host interface ( HPI ) into a general-purpose input and output port ( GPIO ) and how to set the multi-channel buffered serial port ( McBSP ) to an SPI interface. It also proposes a practical solution to the contradiction that data image processing requires a large space while the DSP addressable data space is too small.
