The system uses the TI TMS320C6211 chip to process the images captured by the camera and A/D converted. After the DSP compresses the image, the HPI port of the DSP uploads it to the host computer motherboard through TI's PCI2040 chip, and communicates with the PCI bus of the host computer. The key to system design is the design of the video processing card. Since the video cards available on the market generally have limited functions and cannot meet the needs of this project, we designed a video card by ourselves.
This monitoring system uses a piece of TI's TPS3307-33D as the power detection IC. This device is defined to output a valid signal with /Reset when its power supply is 1.1V. As shown in Figure 4, in this system, the circuit can complete the monitoring of three power supply voltages of 5V, 3.3V and 1.8V, and can perform power-on reset on the three devices of the system (C6211, EPLD and AT89C2051) at the same time and manual reset.

Among them, +3.3V is the voltage required by the I/O interface of TMS320C6211. This is the DSP peripheral interface voltage and must be able to maintain stable and continuous power supply. The external SDRAM and FLASH ROM are both 3.3V devices. If the voltage is unstable, these devices cannot work stably, which may easily lead to loss or even burning of these devices. The +1.8V power supply is to meet the CPU core operating voltage requirements of TMS320C6211. For TMS320C6211, its operating frequency is 150MHz and it is very sensitive to voltage changes. If the voltage is too high, the device will be damaged. If the voltage is too low, the chip will automatically reset.
