How are the three major filters derived? [Copy link]

How are the three most common filters, Butterworth, Chebyshev, and Bessel, derived? How are the three most common active filters composed of passive filters (RC, LC) and basic circuits built with op amps (such as integrators)? Especially, how can they form multi-order filter structures?

Based on the duality of the circuit, is it possible to exchange the components of the passive filter circuit in the existing active low-pass filter structure to achieve the conversion between high-frequency filtering and low-frequency filtering?
