Graduated two years ago and worked for one and a half years. I want to quit and learn embedded system. [Copy link]

Dear brothers and sisters, I am a software engineering graduate from an ordinary second-tier university, graduated in 2022, and currently work in a photovoltaic company in Zhejiang, working on the host computer. Due to many reasons, such as low salary, dim prospects, industry downturn, work atmosphere, etc., I want to resign and learn embedded system. I don't know if it is too reckless in the current environment. I also try to learn in my free time, but the efficiency is too low. I would like to ask for your advice. Thank you.

The embedded field is very popular now. Many people are in this field. Both famous and ordinary schools are rushing into this field.   Details Published on 2024-7-6 08:51

Looking for a better job while still having a job is currently the best solution.

It's normal to be unable to cope with everything.

However, it is recommended to take the civil service examination. After all, the current situation is still very serious.

Graduates will soon hit the market.

Work and study at the same time. Once you have learned something and apply it in the industry, it will take root. If you only study and then find a job, it will be more difficult!

Quit your job to study? Should you sign up for a course? If you must quit your job, I suggest you quit and find a job that specializes in embedded systems, so you can learn faster.

It is not recommended to quit your job to study, and the courses of training institutions are still quite different from the actual work. It is recommended to change jobs and find an embedded system to learn. In this way, you can learn quickly while working, and it is basically OK to lead a complete project.

I don't recommend quitting your job to learn embedded systems. You can learn it, but the cost of quitting your job and switching industries is high, and there is no room for trial and error.

The embedded field has many branches after being refined, including software, hardware, microcontroller, DSP, ARM, application fields, etc.

Most of the training institutions out there have no real skills. Their goal is to make money from their students. People with real skills will not make a living from this.

Only by entering this industry and following the products or projects can you gradually make progress, so resigning is useless, but switching to a related field is feasible.

My dear brother, just go with the flow, either looking for a new job while you're still working, or learning while working a job that supports yourself. Either way, it will be hard.

But how can life not be bitter? So I hope you will finally have sweet moments after all the hardship.

I suggest you give up the idea of quitting your job to study and then looking for a job. You can definitely switch to an embedded job, even if the salary is lower, and study while working.

Haha, I strongly suggest you don't do this. I tried it and suffered a big loss. Even if you want to learn, it's better to enroll in a training class. It's more harmful to work behind closed doors.

The workplace is also a strange circle. Those who work on embedded systems want to work on host computers, and those who work on host computers want to work on embedded systems.

If you want to learn embedded systems, you can use all the available time and learn well without quitting your job. There are so many learning resources now that you don't have to worry about not being able to learn knowledge.

The embedded industry is too competitive now, with all kinds of training courses, both professional and non-professional, coming to compete.
