Live Topic: Why did Microchip choose FPGA instead of MCU?
Live broadcast time : 10:30 – 11:30 am, March 19, 2024 (Tuesday)
Content introduction: This seminar will involve the architecture specifications and application discussions of Microchip FPGA.
In the era of edge data explosion, the data processing speed on edge devices is also getting faster and faster. What kind of solution can have both the reprogrammable characteristics of microprocessors and the advantages of hardware computing performance of specific dedicated chips ASIC? This will be a topic worth exploring in future edge computing.
We will explore the positioning of FPGAs in the market and compare them with the architecture of general-purpose microcontrollers (MCUs). We will also discuss the role of Microchip FPGAs in edge computing, the advantages of FPGA low power consumption in edge computing applications, and introduce some successful cases.
