1. What are the differences between the design process of flexible PCB and ordinary PCB? Do they require special settings? 2. Is the gold finger package of flexible PCB designed the same as the package of ordinary SMD devices?

1. I use EasyEDA. I just need to select the flexible PCB option. No other special design is required.

2. The gold finger and ordinary patch should be similar. I soldered an fpcb socket and added a reinforcement plate.

It should be possible, but the thickness of the reinforcement plate must be calculated carefully, otherwise there may be a gap when the gold finger is inserted into the socket.

This hard thing is called a reinforcement plate, which needs to be designed in when drawing the PCB.

Increasing the strength of the FPC soft board is reinforcement. The board factory adds rigid materials to the local area of the soft board, usually steel sheets.
