Besides NFC, are there any other technologies that can exchange information at close range? [Copy link]

Are there any other technologies that can exchange information at close range (1~3CM) and detect signal strength at the same time? (A combination of the two solutions is also possible) There will be something between the devices that exchange information, which is not transparent and airtight.

Hall sensor can only detect signal strength but cannot exchange information. Currently, the only technology that can exchange information at close range is NFC.

In addition to NFC (near field communication), there are several technologies that can exchange information at close range, including: Bluetooth: Bluetooth technology can transmit and communicate data over a shorter distance, and is commonly used to connect mobile phones, headphones, wireless speakers and other devices. Wi-Fi Direct: Wi-Fi Direct allows devices to directly establish a Wi-Fi connection without an intermediate router, enabling point-to-point data transmission and sharing. RFID (radio frequency identification): RFID technology uses wireless radio frequency signals for identity recognition and data transmission, and is commonly used in logistics, inventory management, access control systems and other fields. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE): BLE is a low-power Bluetooth technology suitable for low-power application scenarios such as IoT devices and sensors. Infrared (IR): Infrared technology can be used for short-range communication and data transmission, such as infrared remote controls, infrared data transmission, etc. Ultrasound: Ultrasound can transmit and communicate data over a short distance, and is widely used in wireless payment, indoor positioning and other fields. These technologies have their own characteristics and advantages in different application scenarios. Choose the appropriate technology according to your needs and specific usage scenarios.  Details Published on 2023-7-3 21:51

There are many solutions, including micro-power wireless communication and loosely coupled transformers. Both are very simple. You can decide based on the data transmission rate requirements.

NFC is near field communication, which is specially designed for this purpose. It is known to be a very good technology. RFID, Bluetooth, infrared and WIFI can also be used, but each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
