Soldering method of standard chip IC components [Copy link]

< class="p" style="">Soldering is an indispensable part of the SMT patch processing process. If there is a mistake in this link, it will directly affect the SMT processed circuit board to be unqualified or even scrapped. Therefore, when welding, you need to master the correct welding method, understand the relevant precautions, and avoid problems.

< class="p" style="">1. Before soldering the chip, apply flux on the pad and treat it with a soldering iron to prevent poor tinning or oxidation of the pad, which may cause poor soldering. The chip generally does not need to be treated.

< class="p" style="">2. Use tweezers to carefully place the PQFP chip on the PCB board, and be careful not to damage the pins. Align it with the pad and ensure that the chip is placed in the correct direction. Adjust the temperature of the soldering iron to more than 300 degrees Celsius, dip a small amount of solder on the tip of the soldering iron, use the tool to press down the aligned chip, add a small amount of flux to the pins at the two diagonal positions, and still press the chip down to solder the pins at the two diagonal positions so that the chip is fixed and cannot move. After soldering the diagonal positions, recheck whether the chip is aligned. If necessary, adjust or remove it and re-align it on the PCB board.

< class="p" style="">3. When you start soldering all the pins, add solder to the tip of the soldering iron and apply flux to all the pins to keep them moist. Touch the end of each pin of the chip with the tip of the soldering iron until you see the solder flowing into the pin. When soldering, keep the tip of the soldering iron parallel to the pin to be soldered to prevent overlap due to excessive solder.

< class="p" style="">4. After soldering all the pins, soak all the pins with flux to clean the solder. Absorb excess solder where necessary to eliminate any short circuits and overlaps. Finally, use tweezers to check if there are any cold solder joints. After the inspection is completed, apply flux from the circuit board. It is relatively easy to solder the chip resistor and capacitor components. You can first tin a solder point, then put one end of the component, clamp the component with tweezers, and after soldering one end, check whether it is placed correctly; if it is placed correctly, solder the other end. It takes a lot of practice to truly master soldering skills.
