What is the name of this circuit? [Copy link]

Please ask a question.

What is the name of the dual-tube self-excited power drive circuit shown in the figure below?

Functionally speaking, this can be called a "synchronous modulation" power supply, that is, in addition to the isolated power supply function, the circuit can be modulated in the power supply to generate communication functions. For example, the S bus used by SOLARTRON is such a power supply + communication.   Details Published on 2022-12-17 16:43

However, the circuit in the upper left corner is not complete, and it is not marked where the left side of R7 leads to. The purpose of these two tubes seems to be current limiting protection.

[These three oscillator circuits are not the same] The same circuit, just different names. Royer is a person's name, translated into Chinese as "罗耶" or "罗耶尔", of course, the translation is different, but it is actually the same person. Same circuit, just a different name.

Royer is a person's name, which is translated into "罗耶" or "罗耶尔" in Chinese. Of course, the translations are different, but they are actually the same person.

As for the "magnetically coupled multivibrator", it is explained from the functional point of view. Just like the Buck circuit, it can also be called a step-down switching circuit or a chopper circuit.

Of course, as mentioned in the third post, due to the presence of capacitor C6 in the circuit of the first post, the output is no longer a rectangular wave, but a sinusoidal one.
