First of all, I would like to thank EEWorld and DFROBOT for providing me with the opportunity to review the Xingkong board! Since I reviewed the Erha vision sensor last time, I have been paying attention to DFROBOT's products, and the Xingkong board is the one I have been looking forward to for a long time.

1. Hardware Unboxing

The packaging of the Xingkong board is a very nice box with a piece of paper on the top and bottom, which feels very thoughtful and prevents damage to the hardware board and is also convenient for carrying.

The main character - the Xingkong board - is placed in the black foam packaging bag. It should be noted in particular that the connecting wires provided by the manufacturer are all silicone wires, which are very comfortable to use. This must be praised!

The data cable is dual-purpose for Android and type-c.

It is just over 8cm long and very compact, much smaller than I expected. On the right side of the picture, you can see the silicon microphone, light sensor, quick recovery fuse, as well as the icons of WiFi, microphone, and brightness.

It adopts a microcomputer architecture, integrates an LCD color screen, WiFi Bluetooth, a variety of commonly used sensors and rich expansion interfaces, and is a domestically produced open source hardware with independent intellectual property rights.

The LCD color screen should have touch function.

2. Mind+ development environment construction

The Xingkong board comes with a Linux operating system and Python environment, and is also pre-installed with commonly used Python libraries. It supports a variety of programming software

I have recently become interested in graphical programming, so Mind+ was mentioned in my evaluation application, and I set a goal for myself to learn Mind+.

Download Mind+ and Mind+ link software respectively and install them

Select the directory and install it all the way to the end

Then install Mind+Link

After the directory is set, the installation continues until the end.

After opening the interface, install the empty board component

Select the row blank board in the extension library

After returning, you can see the module of the empty board.

At this point, the environment setup is complete. The demo examples will be updated next time.

Conclusion

Overall, the hardware design is very nice, the silicone wires are carefully selected, and the overall feeling is very comfortable. It is a pity that the introduction of gold fingers and expansion boards is a little less.
