What should I do if an IDE is warned about copyright issues? [Copy link]

Currently, colleagues are asked to use the IDE without connecting to the internet, but this is very troublesome because it is very painful not being able to search for information online while writing code.

My own solution is to open a virtual machine, but it takes up a lot of resources, but it is a better solution at present. I am afraid that if I disconnect the IDE from the Internet, it will secretly start the service and upload data, so I still open a virtual machine to be on the safe side. But does anyone have a good Windows 10 image that can be installed on VMware virtual machine software?

I am planning to change the development environment for my next project. Do you have any recommendations? I mainly develop ST chips and currently plan to use STM32CubeIDE or SEGGER Embedded Studio.

Win10 LTSC is better for development, with fewer irrelevant functions and less frequent upgrades. If you want to be smaller, you can use other tools to cut it.

Are you using KEIL? There was a free version for individuals some time ago. We are currently using cubeide

Yes. How does Cubeide feel? I am a bit biased towards this side.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 09:15

Yes.

How do you feel about cubeide? I am a bit inclined towards this side as well.

Cubeide is pretty good. There are some IDEs that introduce Eclipse magic modification in the forum. It should not be able to use the components, but the overall experience will be much better.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 17:22

These are better for supporting their own chips. Different people have different opinions. If you don't use their chips, it will be more troublesome.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 11:02

Who made the domestic software so disappointing? It is always unpleasant to be controlled by others.

The ST one only supports ST. I have used SEGGER Embedded Studio for a while, but I feel it is not as easy to use as Keil.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 11:40

It’s hard to change it all at once, but it’s really necessary to change it, so I changed it for the new project.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 13:06
