RISC-V IDE MRS usage notes (Part 2): Board chip status error [Copy link]

[Problem description]

【Error reason】

When downloading or debugging, the chip status cannot be obtained through the two-wire debugging interface.

【Solution】

  1. Check the hardware connection: whether the SWCLK and SWDIO of WCH-Link are connected correctly with the chip pins.
  2. Check whether the chip is working properly: whether the chip working voltage is normal, whether the chip has cold solder joints or damage.
  3. Check the program in the chip: whether it contains Flash lock, sleep, watchdog... functions, which affect the two-wire debugging interface.
  4. Check whether the two-wire debugging interface is disabled: For CH57X and CH58X models, after using MRS to disable the two-wire debugging interface, you need to use WCHISPTool to enable it again.
  5. Check the communication quality: Is the DuPont cable used for connection too long or has poor contact?

After checking, power on WCH-Link again and try downloading and debugging again.
