Lithium-ion batteries are currently the most widely used type in electric vehicles and energy storage. In order to use lithium batteries more safely and utilize kWH energy more efficiently, parameter monitoring and charge and discharge management are required. Battery management systems (BMS) have emerged based on this demand. Infineon released a new battery management IC in March 2022, which can provide a complete battery management solution from 12V to 1500V for energy storage systems and electric vehicles. This solution meets ASIL D certification requirements and guarantees 15-year life cycle accuracy. Complete sample evaluation and technical support can shorten your development cycle and jointly solve chip supply problems. Infineon's advanced BMS solution can achieve intelligent management and maintenance of each battery unit through six major functions: status monitoring, status estimation, information management, safety protection, energy control, and system integration, prevent overcharging and over-discharging of the battery, extend the battery life, monitor the battery status, greatly improve the safety and profitability of the energy storage system, and "escort" your safe driving.
