Nuvoton NuMaker-RTU-NUC980 (Chili Board) development board information sharing [Copy link]

 

NuMaker-RTU-NUC980, also known as Chili Board, is only 5 cm x 5 cm in size. It can run the Linux operating system and has networking capabilities, so users do not need to spend time setting up an interactive compilation environment or perform complex networking settings. Development can be started right after unboxing, and the LED switch program can be set from the web page within 5 minutes.

Chili Board has a built-in Linux v4.4 operating system that supports Network File System (NFS) and Web Server. To help users shorten the development time, Nuvoton Technology also provides a number of sample programs, such as LED light control, Wi-Fi networking, Bluetooth control, etc.

In addition to providing a complete development environment, Nuvoton Technology also provides high-specification hardware configuration for Chili Board, with a built-in Arm9-based NUC980DR61YC microprocessor, 64 MB DRAM, and peripheral interfaces including a 32 MB SPI NOR Flash, a 10/100 Ethernet port, a USB high-speed Host/Device interface, a CAN bus, an RS-485 interface, and up to 5 GPIOs. The hardware encryption and decryption engine with RSA2048, AES256, ECC, SHA512, and PRNG can be used for network data encryption transmission.

Chili Board is a small platform that can run the Linux operating system. It provides a complete development environment and high-specification hardware architecture. For customers who need to connect to the Internet and use the operating system, Chili Board is a platform with the advantage of rapid development.
