24 represents the resolution of the encoder, that is, the number of pulses that can be generated per rotation, which is generally more than 4 lines:
One common line, one "push button" switch line, and the other two are A and B for the encoder.
Although the encoder is 24 bits, it can actually be used as 48 pulses due to different algorithms, but the actual accuracy is still 24P/R.
There are many on the Internet, usually 3-5 yuan each, and you just need to choose the connecting thread diameter, number of pulses and shaft length.
