First of all, there are 2 USB ports on the gateway board. Both of these USB ports are CH340 USB to serial ports. If you want to upgrade the PHY6220 firmware in the gateway (the node should be the same), you only need to connect the UART port of PHY6220 to the computer.
Because there is a USB adapter chip on the gateway, you can directly remove the route connecting to W800 above and use it for PHY6220, as shown in the figure below.
After opening PhyPlusKit, check UART Setting to display the serial port setting interface. Select the corresponding serial port baud rate as 115200 and click Connect.
After connecting, enter the download mode according to the manual. Press and hold S2 and click S5, then release S2. UART RX will appear: cmd>>:
Then double-click HEX, which is the small white box under the HEX tab. In the pop-up file selection dialog box, select gateway_released_sdk\boards\IoTGW_CB800\controller\total_image.hexf file. Click Erase first and then Write. Do not click Write first and then click Erase after it fails. This way you can click one less time.
After a while, the following prompt will appear, indicating that the firmware has been flashed.
