Milliohm resistance test requirements [Copy link]

Is there anyone familiar with resistance testing?

Is there any requirement for the constant current 1A standard for milliohm resistance testing (constant current drive four-wire method)?

Can the current measured by milliohm resistors use 1A ampere level?

Keithley's Low Level Measurement Manual mentions the measurement method of milliohm resistance.

The test requirements are basically determined by your own needs

Depends on the accuracy

A four-and-a-half-digit meter can barely measure a resistance of 0.01 ohms.

Milliohm resistance is generally measured by a milliohm meter, and the internal principle is four-wire measurement

The four-wire system is clear, but the problem is whether there is a national standard for the driving current. Now I give 1A excitation, and the DUT has no problem, but the internal reference resistor heats up, which is the problem. I want to change the current, but I heard that it must be 1A, but I can't come up with an explanation.  Details Published on 2021-9-28 17:41

I want to set the current, but I heard it must be 1A, but I don't know why.

Milliohm resistors from different manufacturers have different temperature drifts and different overcurrents. Milliohm resistors, alloy resistors, precision resistors, including ordinary resistors, have temperature drift values given in their parameters. National standard tests also measure temperature drift and power.  Details Published on 2021-9-29 17:27

There is no such thing as "must be 1A".
