Disassembly: Huaqiangbei version of MagSafe magnetic wireless charging treasure
Reprinted from the Internet
As a new mobile phone wireless charging technology, MagSafe accessories have received widespread attention from the accessories industry chain, including the famous Huaqiangbei. Nowadays, Huaqiangbei's version of MagSafe magnetic wireless power bank has achieved batch shipments. Today's article will share with you the disassembly of Huaqiangbei MagSafe magnetic power bank.
Apple's iPhone 12 series of mobile phones not only brought the 20W PD fast market to a new height, but also made users re-acquainted with magnetic wireless charging technology. MagSafe's instant charging and automatic alignment functions have won praise from many users. The MagSafe magnetic wireless charging industry chain has also grown stronger. Apple's MagSafe wireless charger, MagSafe dual wireless charger, and MagSafe wireless power bank have been launched one after another. Apple has even launched a new MFM certification for this purpose.
As a new mobile phone wireless charging technology, MagSafe accessories have naturally received widespread attention from the accessories industry chain, including the famous Huaqiangbei. As early as a few months ago, the charging head website shared the disassembly of several MagSafe magnetic wireless chargers from Huaqiangbei.
Now, nearly a year has passed since the mobile phone was launched, and the Huaqiangbei version of MagSafe magnetic wireless power bank has finally achieved mass shipments. Today's article will share with you the disassembly of Huaqiangbei MagSafe magnetic power bank.
1. Huaqiangbei version of MagSafe magnetic wireless power bank appearance
In terms of packaging, the Huaqiangbei version of MagSafe magnetic wireless power bank is basically the same as Apple's original mobile battery. The front is equipped with product appearance pictures, Apple logo, MagSafe, etc.
The back is also Apple style.
Side sticker, name: MagSafe external battery, model: A2384, input: 5-9V3A.
The sticker on the other side. By comparison, the sticker labels on both sides are obviously different from the original Apple ones.
Comparing the Huaqiangbei version (left) and the Apple original (right) packaging box, the Apple original packaging box is whiter, while the Huaqiangbei version is slightly grayer.
Open the box and you will find a MagSafe magnetic power bank and an instruction manual.
The Huaqiangbei version of MagSafe magnetic wireless power bank is designed and molded according to the original Apple appearance in a 1:1 ratio, so the overall appearance is very similar, and the Apple logo is clearly printed in the center. At first glance, it is almost impossible to tell the real thing from the fake.
Compared with Apple's original MagSafe magnetic non-power bank (on the right), the color of this one from Huaqiangbei is slightly darker.
The magnetic side is a gray panel, and the wireless charging area and the magnetic area have corresponding treatments, but the overall color is grayish.
The magnetic surface is compared with the original Apple product (right side).
The feel of the magnetic surface is not as good as the original one, it looks like it is coated with a layer of low-quality rubber oil, and the scratch resistance is not very good. A light scratch of the fingernail can scrape off the coating. It feels that after using it for a period of time, the rubber oil will age and become sticky. The product parameter information is also marked below, but the capacity description is added: 5000mAh.
The input end is a Lightning interface, which is also decorated with a metal ring and an indicator light next to it.
The indicator light will turn green when the power is connected.
The length is approximately 95.8mm.
The width is approximately 64.1mm.
The net weight is about 104g.
Using Apple's 20W PD fast charging test, ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM001C measured that the input power of this product was about 6.3W, and it did not enter the 9V fast charging mode.
When used with iPhone 12 Pro Max, it is difficult to tell whether it is real or fake.
2. Disassembly of Huaqiangbei version of MagSafe magnetic wireless power bank
First, pry off the front cover. The inside of the entire cover is covered with double-sided tape. The magnet and coil are attached to the plastic shell, which is fixed with four screws.
Continue to separate the coil section from the housing.
In addition to the coil, there is another wire on the PCB board, the end of which is connected to the copper foil and attached to the shell, which is used as a capacitive sensing switch. When the mobile phone fits the shell, it is used to activate the mobile power wireless charging output.
Continue to remove the main control PCB board of the mobile power supply and separate the outer shell and battery.
Close-up of the metal ring at the interface.
Small magnets form a magnetic ring that is fixed to the plastic shell.
After opening the outer shell of this mobile power bank, the internal module looks a bit simple, with only a battery, a PCB board, and a coil.
Back side at a glance.
Let’s take a look at the battery part first. It uses a 5000mAh lithium polymer battery with a nominal voltage of 3.85V. This looks more solid than the original Apple one.
Let’s take a look at the main control PCB board.
In the right corner of the front is the all-in-one lithium battery protection chip XB7608A from SyChip.
On the left side of the PCB board is the power bank main control chip, the Ingenic IP5306. This is a multifunctional power management SOC that integrates a boost converter, lithium battery charging management, and battery level indication. Only one inductor is needed to achieve buck and boost functions. The synchronous boost system provides a maximum output current of 2.4A, with a conversion efficiency as high as 91%. With fewer peripheral devices, the size of the overall solution can be effectively reduced.
Detailed information of Ingenic IP5306.

The red one is a wireless charging CBB resonant capacitor from Keya.
Below are two MOS tubes for coil driving.
There are mainly two single-chip microcomputers on the back.
The one in the upper left corner has no silk screen and is used for wireless charging control.
The microcontroller in the middle also has no silk screen and is used for sensor control and other functions.
Here above is the Lightning interface power chip.
Close-up of the wireless charging coil, which is wound with Litz wire. It is relatively thin and saves space, and can accommodate larger capacity batteries.
The Huaqiangbei version of MagSage wireless power bank has been disassembled.
Disassembly Summary
I have to say that Huaqiangbei is still quite good. First of all, in terms of product appearance, this MagSafe magnetic power bank is produced with a 1:1 mold and its packaging also imitates the Apple style, so it is extremely confusing to ordinary users.
On the other hand, this product uses only one-tenth of the original Apple components, but it has almost completed 80% of the functions, which is still somewhat surprising. Of course, such a product can only look similar in the end and can barely charge the phone. The remaining 20% of the essence is difficult to crack.
After disassembly, it was found that the product uses two MCU programs to realize wireless charging, pop-up window and power display. The mobile power supply uses an Ingenic IP5306 high-integration chip, which cannot support fast charging input and output, so the parameters are false. Only the battery cell is relatively good at 5000mAh.
