TIOBE June Programming Language Ranking: Python is expected to surpass C to become the first [Copy link]

Reprinted from: https://www.cnbeta.com/articles/tech/1138113.htm

TIOBE has officially released the June programming language list. What is the trend of this month's list? In this month's list, the gap between Python, which ranks second, and C, which ranks first, is gradually narrowing, from 1.51% last month to 0.7% this month.

In this regard, TIOBE officially predicts that Python will soon take over the top spot on the TIOBE list. At the same time, the TIOBE index list will usher in its 20th anniversary next month. In the past 20 years, only two languages have reached the top spot on the TIOBE list, and they are C and Java. Therefore, under the high-speed development trend, Python may surpass C language to become the top of the list in the near future, and that will be an important moment in history.

In addition, in recent months, we have found that Java's market share has continued to decline, with a market share of 0.2% less than last month, and its growth trend is -4.56%. In addition, there are some changes in the TOP 20 that are worth noting:

Perl rose from 19th place last month to 15th place this month;

Swift moved up two spots to No. 16;

Go language has slipped from 16th place last month to 20th place this month.

The current mainstream voice of the reformists: Go will replace Java, Rust will replace C/C++, and WebAssembly will replace JavaScript Flutter may become the mainstream UI library... Of course I don’t know if it’s right.   Details Published on 2021-6-10 08:43

Rust didn't even make it into the top 20.

I don’t know Python, or rather, I don’t know it very well (even with this level of proficiency, I have modified Python code before).

I've been catching up on "Awakening" recently, and I feel something very similar: if today's reformers stop moving forward, they may become conservatives tomorrow; and if today's conservatives suddenly come to their senses, they will suddenly become reformers. The world is able to progress through the constant struggle between new and old ideas. No idea is absolutely correct, but it's just that the conditions under which it applies are different.

This first place has become a symbol of our generation of programmers. It seems that a new era is coming. Although in this new era, farmers still farm, workers still work, and I still use C language and JAVA, the rise of new trends and the infinite possibilities of the future are still very exciting. Borrowing from the title of the composition: We have sunshine in our hearts and strength under our feet. Our future will be integrated into the new journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We are in an era with great potential...
