MWC 2021: 5G terminal equipment will usher in a golden age

As the first global event in the MWC series to return to offline, 2021 MWC Shanghai has launched an online platform, My MWCS Online, so that attendees and exhibitors will be able to have both offline and online experiences. As a major part of this event, the highly anticipated 2021 Asia Mobile Awards (AMO Awards) have been announced, among which the "Best Smartphone Award in Asia" has attracted widespread attention.

Wearable devices usher in a golden period of development
According to a survey by GSMA Intelligence, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant and lasting impact in China. Since 2019, the number of Chinese consumers owning connected health and fitness devices has increased by 46%, and another one-fifth plans to buy them in the near future. Among them, health and fitness devices have grown by 46%, the largest increase among wearable devices.
The 2021 MWC Shanghai brought a feast of display and experience of the latest wearable device products from around the world. Companies such as Huawei Terminal, Nreal, Oppo, Qualcomm, Realme and Vivo all showcased their latest devices and a series of 5G-enabled electronic consumer terminal devices and services.
Huawei Terminal launched a new product at MWC Shanghai 2021 - Huawei 5G Super Blade, a new 5G outdoor base station solution designed for outdoor use. It adopts a modular design and can be quickly deployed in 5G areas. Qualcomm launched a new generation of 5G products at this year's MWC Shanghai and set up a 5G millimeter wave exhibition area, where participants can fully experience the diverse applications and terminals enabled by 5G millimeter waves.
According to a GSMA think tank survey, health and fitness devices have become the "players" with the largest growth in wearable devices. AMS Semiconductor has brought an unnamed "killer application" that can achieve digital hearing enhancement.
