The NUCLEO-L552ZE package brochure mentions that there is an Arduino UNO v3 interface and an Mbed interface in the Zio port. After checking, the Arduino interface is not available yet. There is an account "STM32duino" in github, which has not yet collected the L552 series chips. Looking at the Visual Studio Code plug-in PlatformIO that I used before, it supports more than 900 boards, but NUCLEO-L552ZE is not supported in the Mbed framework. So, if you want to test it, you can only look at Mbed's own OS. Mbed puts itself on a par with Arduino UNO, and takes the lead in adding its own support to ST's new models, although this is not mentioned in the text introduction found online.

Plug in the board and it will be recognized:

Start a new project:

Compile (the "hammer" in the middle left of the picture below):

The usage of Mbed is similar to Arduino, but it requires an online state. First, go to its website to download and install Mbed Studio. You must register on the website before downloading (perhaps Mbed is in a state of crisis after ARM acquired Keil). Once Mbed Studio is installed, the board will be recognized when it is plugged in. Examples are included in Mbed Studio. The remaining steps are just Build and Run. The reason why there is no more detailed explanation is that it is just a few simple steps, and there is no more complicated operation to point out.

Keil's acquisition by ARM shows that ARM is not satisfied with Mbed. In addition, apart from being free, Mbed is redundant compared to Keil in terms of functionality.
