Microsoft made the "Azure RTOS family bucket" completely open source [Copy link]

Last month, Microsoft transferred all the source code of ThreadX to the Eclipse Foundation, and the agreement of this software has also become the MIT agreement. Yesterday, on December 13, 2023, the design tool "GUIX Studio" was also open sourced. The source code is based on MFC. It seems that this antique technology has not been eliminated and is still alive and kicking. How do you evaluate Microsoft's magical operation?

The software version is 6.30.1. I used STM32F746 to do an evaluation some time ago. The graphics fluency and response speed are really first-class.

Buying it to open source is still something that only people with money can do.   Details Published on 2023-12-14 13:38

The embedded pie in the IoT era is probably huge. But I don't want to take a bite. If I don't, it will be over.

Some time to try it.

It seems that IoT is no longer popular. What is popular now is AI. It is said that Tesla even open-sources its robots.  Details Published on 2023-12-14 12:03

Old technology is not necessarily bad, it’s just that fewer people use it.

Now most of the upper computer developers have changed to C# or something like that, and occasionally old projects still use MFC. It's not that they don't want to use MFC, but they can't recruit people.  Details Published on 2023-12-14 12:08
