Cost-effective 0-10V analog signal isolation technology: based on Y capacitor isolation [Copy link]

The 0-10V analog signal is converted into a modulated signal by the APC chip GP9301M, and then transmitted to the PAC chip GP8101M after passing through the isolation capacitor. The GP8101M demodulates the modulated signal and outputs a 0-10V analog voltage. This solution has a simple circuit and a typical accuracy of 0.5%.

In the isolation system, common-mode interference is often suppressed by placing Y capacitors on the primary and secondary sides. The capacitance of the Y capacitor is generally small (nF level), which effectively reduces system EMI while ensuring AC leakage.

In the analog signal capacitor isolation solution referred to in this article, Y capacitors are used as the medium for analog signal transmission. While ensuring the isolation performance, the transmission of analog signals is also realized, which has a very good cost-effectiveness compared to traditional isolation solutions.
