What types of anti-wear hydraulic oil are there? What are their characteristics? [Copy link]

(1) High zinc type (known as "conventional zinc type" abroad):

The zinc content in the oil is ≥ 0.07%. This type is the main type of HM oil at home and abroad. It has the best wear resistance for steel-steel friction pairs, such as high and medium pressure vane pumps. The high zinc type is divided into alkaline high zinc and neutral high zinc. Neutral high zinc has better extreme pressure and wear resistance, while alkaline high zinc has good oxidation resistance and thermal stability due to its high pH value and high alkalinity.

(2) Low zinc type (known as "stable zinc type" abroad):

The zinc content in the oil is <0.07%, generally 0.03%-0.04%, and it has good adaptability to materials. It is suitable for medium and high pressure vane pumps as well as plunger pumps with copper and copper alloys.

(3) Zinc-free type (known as "non-zinc type" abroad):

The oil does not contain zinc or other metal salts. It is mainly suitable for plunger pumps. In addition to its higher cost and inferior wear resistance to zinc-containing types, it is not easy to corrode hydraulic systems with copper and silver parts. It has better water separation, hydrolysis stability, filterability and thermal oxidation stability.
