E-sports preparation experience [Copy link]

The national electronic competition is still difficult. Within the specified time, that is, 4 days and 3 nights, we need to make electronic competition questions with high standards and high requirements. I personally think it is still very difficult. During this period, we must achieve software and development that meet the requirements, and hardware production, welding, testing and adjustment. From conception to actual production and testing, it is very time-consuming. In order to achieve the competition goals, we often reduce sleep time and invest most of our experience in electronic competitions. After all, this is a fight for dreams. At this stage, we are unwilling to give up, unwilling to be weaker than others, and even more unwilling to live up to the youth we have paid for this. Even if we fail in the end, we can say that we have tried our best, which is enough. The

first thing to say is that the accumulation and preparation before the game is very important, which determines the direction and speed of your problem solving. Of course, team members can have different knowledge accumulation in order to solve more practical problems in the electronic competition stage. In this way, even if a person encounters a problem that cannot be solved temporarily, teammates, more experienced seniors or instructors can always solve it. Generally, there will be people who estimate questions a few days before the game. You can go to the forum or join a few more electronic competition groups to learn from each other. A few days before the competition, I remember that I was debugging and familiarizing myself with various peripherals, cameras, gyroscopes, accelerometers, OLEDs, touch screens, etc., especially touch screens, which I rarely touched before. With the emergence of capacitive screens, few people buy resistive touch screens. It is difficult to control the time for online shopping. I ran around the city's electronic markets to find a few suitable components. There were only principles but no ready-made programs on the Internet, so I could only use an oscilloscope to understand the principles while writing the library myself. I studied the problem of inaccurate positioning caused by the mutual influence of xy axis coordinates for a long time, and finally found that there was a problem with the level configuration of gpio. Another teammate designed a PCB printed circuit board, which was sent back before the competition. Everyone was preparing their own parts non-stop.

Secondly, the allocation of time is also particularly important. Don't waver between topics. Determine the topic as soon as possible and don't change the topic midway. Our group allocation is as follows:
first determine the topic and conceive the topic framework. The remaining time on the first day is for the teammate in charge of software direction to build the general software framework, and the other two people will make the mechanical and circuit framework, and weld and debug the usable PCB printed circuit board. On the second day of the competition, I was debugging various sensors, and the other two were installing sensors and assembling machinery. The various 3D printed devices were basically printed. We basically completed the assembly in the afternoon. Then we started simple debugging and found many problems, such as the camera stability of the flight control drone was not enough, and the software compilation was not very smooth. There were many problems waiting for us to solve. After a night of hard work, we started to adjust the parameters. I was responsible for the parameter adjustment, and the students in charge of hardware adjusted the details of the machinery. There were also many problems in adjusting the parameters. At first, we thought of using ordinary PID control, and the effect was okay. The ball would not fall down. Later, we tried fuzzy PID, variable domain PID, bangbang control, etc., and the more we adjusted, the worse it was. Finally, we adjusted the ordinary PID to solve the problem. By the way, although 3D printing is convenient, its disadvantage is that it takes too long. If you can find ready-made mechanical parts, it is better not to choose this time-consuming method. After all, the time of the competition is very tight. However, because we have a reasonable time allocation, we will advance the printing work and deal with other problems at the same time, so it did not cause us trouble in time. On the last day, we were working on additional functions. We wanted to use a Bluetooth debugging assistant I wrote before to control the position of the ball, the touch screen to control the position of the ball, and the self-made remote control to control the position of the ball. However, we gave up after two hours of adjustment. The teammate who worked on the machinery continued to work on the additional machinery, and another teammate continued to adjust the parameters. I was debugging the additional functions. As a result, the problem mentioned before appeared again in the evening, but fortunately, it was successfully sealed in the end.

Then the team configuration should be reasonable, and we should be united in spirit. It is best to produce a good chemical effect and have a certain tacit understanding. There should be no contradictions in the team. Once there is a disagreement and it cannot be unified for a long time, the captain has no decision-making ability and bonding ability, and allows things to develop in an unfavorable direction, then the results of this competition will basically not be ideal. The most ideal configuration is: one person has strong software compilation ability and is familiar with the components used, and can absolutely solve the bugs in the competition; the other person is proficient in the hardware part, can quickly complete the circuit design and construction, and work with the software personnel to deal with problems in the test process; the last person should have a relatively comprehensive ability, can check for deficiencies and fill in the gaps for the above two people, and can complete the writing and explanation of the report. Such a team is perfect.

Finally, everyone should have a calm attitude towards the competition, be modest and not panic when problems arise, and try to find the root cause and solve the most fundamental problem. I hope everyone can achieve good results in this national competition.
