Overview

SurfaceDial based on STM32F042, you can use all functions of SurfaceDial (except for the position on the screen, i do not have that device), the firmware is provided, the source code is not provided, there is no need to modify

Surface Dial is a newly released accessory product for Surface tablet computer from Microsoft.

At the Win10 new product launch conference in New York held at 10 pm on October 26, 2016, Beijing time, Microsoft released Surface Dial.

This Surface Dial is a controller natively supported by Windows 10 system. It passes the HID protocol (the official original version is Bluetooth HID, which is modified to USB-HID). This is the first version of the product. It will be changed to a Bluetooth device in the future. You can pass Bluetooth connection, and support as many touch screen computers as possible (my idea is any touch screen computer, no longer limited to the official Surface Studio). This version uses STM32F042 as the main control. The reason why this main control is chosen is to provide support as soon as possible (someone has used this before) and will later be replaced by the STM32G0 series to reduce costs.

There is an iPhone 6 vibration motor on this board, and it can provide linear feedback of vibration. You can also use an encoder with damping instead of a linear motor. It is not recommended that you use this version directly (wait for a while, I will add functions)

Instructions

Connect to the computer via a USB-C cable, and the computer will automatically recognize it as a Windows radial controller and drive it.

Concepts supports a lot of functions, such as color palette, brush switching, etc.
