Is there any sensor that can detect whether there is someone in front through the tinted glass? [Copy link]

RT, I'm curious about the black glass face recognition attendance machines. What kind of sensors do they use to determine if there is someone in front of them? If the camera is turned on all day for face recognition, it will put a lot of pressure on the CPU. I guess the CPU will get hot. And many of these devices are installed outdoors in the sun.

The glass is black and has a transparent area. It can be a camera like a mobile phone camera. It can be turned on when there is an infrared distance sensor.

But I looked at this one, the white ones on the sides are fill lights, there are two transparent cameras in the middle, and the rest is black.  Details Published on 2019-10-30 11:07

My phone also shows a camera, but I don't know where the proximity sensor is.  Details Published on 2019-10-30 12:08

The face recognition machine is usually monitored by turning on the camera (the binoculars can see that the infrared light is always on). I think it is handled like this: do not turn on the face recognition algorithm at ordinary times, only start the regional moving object alarm algorithm based on video analysis (this algorithm is relatively simple and the computing pressure should not be large), and then turn on the face recognition algorithm after detecting someone.

In addition, some brown glass can transmit infrared light, and the principle of infrared distance measurement can be used to determine whether there is a moving obstacle (human body) in front of it. This consumes very little power, similar to the proximity sensor used in wash basins. The motion human body sensor similar to the PIR principle generally requires a Fresnel lens shell to match, and the size and appearance are more prominent.

Use infrared reflection tube to judge whether there is someone in front of the camera.
