On the afternoon of November 30, Beijing time, it was reported that India’s Tata Group (Tata Group) is negotiating with Apple iPhone OEM Wistron (Wistron), hoping to pay up to 50 billion rupees (approximately 612.6 million rupees) USD) to acquire Wistron’s only manufacturing plant in India.

These people also said that if it fails to reach an acquisition agreement with Wistron, Tata Group may also consider forming a joint venture with Wistron. Wistron is one of Apple's largest suppliers in India, with its factory located in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.

Currently, Tata Electronics, a division of the Tata Group, is already supplying components to Apple. There were reports in September this year that Tata Group was negotiating with Wistron to establish a joint venture to assemble iPhones in India.

Tata Group, Wistron and Apple have yet to comment on today's report.
